About the Pocono Photo Club
The Pocono Photo Club was founded by photography enthusiast and local mechanical engineer David Strunk in 2008.

In looking for opportunities to learn more about photography and thinking there may be others in the area with like interests, David placed an ad in the local paper and invited anyone interested to attend the first meeting which was to be held at Hughes Library in Stroudsburg. He was both surprised and delighted when over 130 people showed up for the first meeting!

Since then the meeting place has changed a few times but the mission of the Pocono Photo Club remains the same:

The mission of Pocono Photo Club is to inspire and develop its members through educational programs and interactive photo opportunities which represent the broad range of interests and talents within our membership.

If you are interested in joining the Club, or would like more information about the Club, please Contact Us or visit our New Member Application.
  • Single Membership: $35.00
  • Family Membership: $50.00 (includes three website accounts)
  • Student Membership: $20.00 (must be an active student in high school or college)
Member Benefits
Membership in the Pocono Photo Club is open to anyone having an interest in photography regardless of skill level. The Club offers members an opportunity to learn more about their hobby or craft and to share individual photographic knowledge or experiences with other members. We are an active group, with monthly programs, and monthly field trips to places that offer us the chance to photograph things of interest.

The Club, which currently has around 75-80 members, meets on the third Tuesday of each month at Northampton Community College - Monroe Campus in room 201 at 7:00 pm (Keystone Hall).

We Offer You:
  • Educational activities designed to benefit both the beginning and advanced photographer.
  • A chance to share your work (digital projected images, black & white and color prints) through competitions and exhibits
  • Friendships based on common interest in photography
  • Learn the "Art of Seeing" from viewing members' work displayed at monthly meetings
  • An opportunity to display your work on the Club's Web site
PLEASE NOTE that while gatherings of groups larger than 10 people are prohibited during the current pandemic, PPC continues to meet on the third Tuesday each month via Zoom.  Members are sent the meeting link prior to the meeting and invited to log in at 6:45 pm before the meeting starts at 7 pm.  We continue to feature inspirational photographers, feature members' photos and promote non-contact ways to get out and take pictures.
