Welcome to the Pocono Photo Club!

The Pocono Photo Club is honored to have received a Certificate of Appreciation from The Moving Wall in recognition of our support and participation during its visit to the Poconos.

It was a privilege for our members to help document such a meaningful and moving event while honoring the service and sacrifice of our Vietnam veterans. Through photography, we were able to preserve moments of remembrance, reflection, and community that will continue to tell the story of this special experience.

We are incredibly grateful for this recognition and proud of the PPC members who contributed their time and talents. Thank you to The Moving Wall organizers for allowing us to be a part of such an important event.

Approaching Abstraction: Ways of Seeing, Creating, Processing, and Presenting

We’re all likely familiar with the expression, “what has been seen cannot be unseen.” This is certainly true; it’s also not entirely true. As photographers, we see what is, while at the same time being challenged to unsee what is so that we can see what else it is. 

This is how we cultivate our abstract eye: suspending what we know, getting curious, and playing. Join Beth as she shares her complete process of noticing, photographing, processing, and presenting abstract images. Along the way she’ll offer ideas for how you can cultivate and expand your capacity to express yourself using an abstract and non-literal approach.
