In this example, a picture of sisters from another age was transformed by doing the following:

  1. Image was squared and flattened (transformed in LR speak),
  2. the color cast was removed,
  3. spots, distractions and an interfering brother in the background were removed,
  4. grain was minimized,
  5. exposure was improved and
  6. the image size was enlarged from 689 px x 674 px to 2067 px x 2022 px.

 

Software used:

  • Adobe Lightroom:  Flattening, cropping, exposure and color adjustment.
  • Adobe Photoshop:  Spot removal (LR does this too, but PS does it better)
  • Topaz Photo AI:  Sharpen, noise removal and enlargement (see the enlargement below)
