I am a time preserver of people and places humbled by the honor of being chosen photographer of the month by the executive committee of a club filled with truly professional, and abundantly talented artistic photographers.
My household already holds one photographer, enough, and an abundance of equipment. I am content with aspiring to improve skills; learning from the club and members. I’ve operated a camera taking pictures since about age 9 with my Kodak Jiffy EF, owning every type of popular Instamatic and point ‘n shoot up through my fond Canon G12 which face planted with me in the silky red sand of Arches National park. At that point, I quit, angry and frustrated to have ruined such a wonderful instrument. I refused all offers of another. My husband birthday gifted me with my Canon Gx5 prior to our SE Asia trip. I refused to open the box, to be responsible for another expensive camera for 2 months, deciding at the last minute to take it, the manual, and study in the airplanes and airports on our way.
I really enjoy capturing a unique moment of time in nature or life and wish to become a proficient enough photographer to produce an image that reflects the feel, the beauty, and the uniqueness of the moment. The photos here are in time sequence, with a desire of showing improvement, practice, and your influence in these last 2 years.
