Middle Smithfield Community Center
Monday April 29th is "take down day" of our member exhibit at the Middle Smithfield Community Center. If you haven‘t seen the exhibit yet, stop by during regular business hours to check it out. We have some great talent in this club and it is so nice to see it on public display!

The next Camera 101 class we will put to practice what we are learned in our previous two classes. We will walk around the Pocono Heritage trail, taking pictures of plants, birds, nature, and hopefully the nesting Eagles!
The class will be again taught by Dave Butler from Stroudsburg Foto.
Bring your hiking shoes, camera, and memory cards. Also, CHARGE THOSE BATTERIES!
We will meet in the parking lot at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday May 14th, 2024.

I am happy to announce that I (Tim Grey) will be presenting three classes as part of the Lightroom Virtual Summit 2024, which is a free online event that will be held May 20th through the 24th.
I‘ll be presenting on"Lightroom Classic and the Cloud","Managing Folders and Collections", and"Advanced Color Adjustments", all focused on Lightroom Classic. My classes are just three out of a total of 45 classes from a variety of instructors.
Best of all, you can attend all of the online classes for free from virtually anywhere with an internet connection.

Scavenger Hunt 2024: March 1, 2024 - May 23, 2024 (midnight)
One photograph per category. The interpretation of the categories is up to the
photographer. Entering in all seven categories is not required; photographers can enter as few as one category.
Images must be in jpeg format only. No titles are needed.
Images must be submitted via Dropbox by midnight May 23, 2024.
File names should be in the following format: 1-PAL-LucyFreck-jpg
PAL: Palmerton Camera Club
POC: Pocono Photo Club
For example: 1-PAL-LucyFreck.jpg: Category 1, Palmerton, Lucy Freck; photographer.
Images must be taken between the dates of March 1, 2024 and May 23, 2024.
The use of any camera is permitted including cell phones. Manipulation should be limited to the brightness/contrast, sharpening, exposure, cropping or B&W conversion.
Advanced adjustments such as HDR, artistic filters, panorama stitching, focus stacking, and multiple exposures are not allowed.
Watermarks should not appear on submitted images.

Join us to view a collection of photos from various members of the Pocono Photography Club. Come to the gallery at Kettle Creek from 11am to 1pm and meet the artists.
The exhibit will reflect the natural beauty of the Poconos as seen by our diverse group of photographers. ‘Nature Through Our Lenses‘ will be on display at the Kettle Creek Art Gallery for the month of June. The gallery is open Monday to Friday from 8am to 4:30pm

Our annual summer picnic will be June 8th at the Brodhead Creek Park in East Stroudsburg. The Same Pavillion as last year. Please bring a covered dish, refreshments or something special. We will be sending out shortly a link that everyone can input what they are bringing.
Also please bring a bag chair, your camera, and a lot of great stories.
