Ann LeFevre
Ann LeFevre is the Pocono Photo Club October Photographer of the Month! A little about Ann in her own words:
Here is an eclectic assortment of my favorite photos, photos I think are "my style" and ones which illustrate the kinds of subjects I'm interested in or what I enjoying playing around with in post-processing.
Most of the time I use my Canon T3i for shooting but in a pinch I will use my Olympus point and shoot if I'm out and about and don't want to miss that "perfect shot". I use my Canon Powershot XS50 exclusively for moon shots. I was given my first camera, a Kodak Instamatic, when I was 8 years old but didn't start taking pictures seriously until the late 70's with my 35mm SLR. I entered the world of digital photography in the early 2000's.
Thanks to PPC and my on-line group "The 365 Project" (365project.org) my confidence and abilities as a photographer have really grown and I was excited to learn one of my photos tied for first place in the 2019 Pocono Living Magazine's annual photography issue. I don't really have a bucket list per se, but I've always wanted to take long exposure pictures of the stars (in Iceland with the Aurora Borealis!), photograph the lands of my ancestors (Scotland, Netherlands and Wales) and return to the Grand Canyon and Painted Dessert to photograph them again with my DSLR. I don't know if I'll get to do any of those, so in the meantime I'm a firm believer that there is always something to photograph right in your own backyard so it's not surprising to see me out in mine with camera in hand at any given time of the day in search of something interesting to take a picture of. And when I can't do that I like taking a "bad' picture and throwing it into the photo-processing blender to see what comes out!
I hope these pictures will inspire others in the club to take a step forward and show their photos too. If I can do it, so can you!
Ann
